Camping
With so much public land, you choose your camping experience - high in the remote backcountry or adjoining public showers and restaurants. Curecanti National Recreation Area has drive-in, boat-in and hike-in campgrounds. The Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management host lakeside, streamside and mountainside campgrounds throughout the Gunnison Country.
Most campgrounds are operated from May 1 to October 1, some amenities, such as water and trash service may be discontinued after Labor Day.
